She’s had many incarnations over the years, from model to racing driver, polo player and TV presenter, but being a pub landlady in the heart of the British countryside is the focus of Jodie Kidd’s life now.
She took over the Half Moon, a charming 16th-century, grade II-listed pub in Kirdford, West Sussex, three years ago. However, Covid-19 means that for most of the past 12 months, it has been closed.
Now, days ahead of reopening the pub garden as lockdown slowly lifts in England, Jodie’s excitement is palpable as we join her at the cosy bar, usually filled with farmers and their dogs. “I can’t wait to see all our regulars’ faces,” says Jodie, 42. “The sooner we can open the doors and welcome them
