The 15-year anniversary edition of Nite Versions dropped at the end of last year ["I’m so old” – Steph]. Previously out of press (and going for silly money on Discogs), the new digital, and pink and white vinyl versions, include a 14 minute re-rub of ‘NY Lipps’, originally made for Antwerp Six designer Dries Van Noten’s 2020 catwalk show. The reissue still features the sweet mastering job of the late, great, Nilesh Patel.
“He did such an amazing job," remembers Dave. “Doing a new one would have been blasphemy”.
Steph: “When we made Nite Versions we played Pukkelpop festival in Belgium and said, ‘Look, we have 25 minutes of this new stuff. Can we take it into a dance tent with live drums, bass, and synths, and pull it off? They let us. We had no desk, went on in the afternoon, unannounced, and filled it – the place went nuts! It was the most direct hit we’d ever had.
