TCM’s 31 Days of Oscar continues its alphabetical run, today reaching and this 1971 Best Picture nominee from writer-director Peter Bogdanovich. Cloris Leachman deservedly won Best Supporting Actress for playing a dissatisfied wife having an affair with a high school senior (Timothy Bottoms, above, with Leachman). line (“Never you mind, honey, never you mind”), we’re reduced to puddles.
