A LIFETIME IN MINIS
The fact that MiniWorld still has a prominent place in the Mini scene is testament to the Mini owners who have supported it, some for decades, many of whom build and restore Minis simply for the pleasure of getting them featured in MiniWorld. For 30 years MiniWorld has been driven by its readers and here we share some of your stories expressing what the magazine means to you. We thank you for continuing to buy MiniWorld, month after month, no doubt amassing a huge collection, and also for keeping the Mini well and truly on the map. Here’s to the fourth decade of MiniWorld and much more fun with Minis along the way…
Stephen Dalton, Melbourne, Australia
It came as a pleasant surprise for Mini enthusiasts when MiniWorld #1 appeared. A group of us were at Rosehill Racecourse, Sydney, for Minifest ’91. A chap appeared with two piles of the mag and quickly sold out. I grabbed two copies. Issue two was the first to officially hit Oz newsagents.
Over the years MiniWorld has helped capture the tastes and memories of enthusiasts and the legends alike. Although, as time marches on, sadly many are no longer with us.
Well done to Nigel, Jerry, Mike, Monty and Karen, to life for all Mini enthusiasts to enjoy the world over since 1991.
