KNITTED EDGINGS
Where applicable, the instructions include a guide to modifying the cast-on stitches to fit your project. These edgings may be attached using either a mattress stitch seam or a flat seam. These six different edgings will include the following techniques and stitches: cast on and cast off, various methods of decreasing and increasing, stocking stitch, garter stitch, lace knitting, cables and bobbles. Some are knitted lengthways and some are knitted sideways, all are knitted in 8 ply yarn with 3.75mm needles.
MATERIALS USED ARE THE SAME IN EACH EDGING.
• 8 ply knitting yarn (quantity will vary depending on the project)
• Pair of 3.75mm (US 5, UK 9) knitting needles
• Yarn needle for finishing
