ANYONE WHO HAS been on an African safari will know that lions spend much of the day asleep. Everyone wants to see their first lion, but if your initial encounter with the king of beasts is a sleeping pride it can be a disappointing experience. I’ve been lucky enough to have seen a lot of lions, but most were sleeping off their last zebra.
