e could do it all. His musical world drew on styles including hard rock, blues, soul. A naturally gifted player, Prince had a fresh idea for every song, and whether he was playing one of his gaudy custom guitars or his trademark budget Hohner Telecaster he had a highly individual sound; through his tone and feel you could always tell it was him, and that’s incredibly rare. To the end, the guitar was central to Prince’s world, and you were never quite sure how he’d use it next.
