Synonymous with English country gardens, roses have long been cherished by gardeners, interior designers, florists and perfumiers alike. With flowers coming in myriad forms, from plump buds of endless, unfurling petals to the simple, wide-eyed charm of the hedgerow beauty, they are undeniably the highlight of an English garden in summer.
