The best is yet to come
Tommy Fleetwood is going to have a big year – you sense it. He’s had a few already, of course, but there’s a hunger for more. More titles, more Ryder Cups, more Majors, where he’s hoping to go one better than his personal best of second twice. He’s been on tour for a decade and, in January, turned 30. It was a muted affair, obviously, although he’s all business at the moment anyway. He’ll celebrate when he’s 40.
The man from Southport is in a “very good spot” – Orlando to be precise, his home from home. It’s an ideal base to practise on weeks off, and while trips home to the north-west are more difficult in the current climate, he’s never felt more settled.
