Use of AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine halted

NUMBER of countries in Europe have decided to temporarily suspend the rollout of the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine. This is because medical experts found some people may develop blood clots after receiving the jab. A blood clot forms in your veins and can travel through the bloodstream with disastrous results. It can prevent the flow of blood to the body’s vital organs and can cause heart attacks, strokes and fatal blockages in the lungs, as well as severe pain or paralysis. Vaccines are being rolled out around the world in the hope of preventing the coronavirus infecting more people, and ultimately ending the pandemic.
