IT WAS quite a send-off. Loadshedding was suspended for several hours, a mourning period was declared and presidents past and present were among the droves of dignitaries who flocked to Kwa-Nongoma in northern KwaZulu-Natal to pay their respects.
Even Her Serene Highness Princess Charlene of Monaco was there to bid farewell to King Goodwill Zwelithini and called him “an honourable man with a pure heart”.
