This cake is a mixture between a teabread and a cake, with the rich almond paste giving it a bit of a luxurious oomph – so don’t expect a sponge! It’s lovely with a big pot of tea.
For the cake – dry ingredients:
• 80g (scant 3oz) and , finely chopped and/or • 225g (8oz)
