An opportunity for change

Lockdown has been tough for everyone and it is no surprise that footpaths and rights of way have been busier than ever. People understandably want and need to get out and exercise and, with travelling restrictions in place, most of the walkers and riders we are seeing are local.

When restrictions are lifted, I think a lot of the people who have been walking as part of their daily exercise will carry on, and the countryside will generally become a far busier place.

Families who hitherto hadn’t really shown any interest in what was on their doorsteps may now be hooked and realise
