BAD HIPS HAVE BEEN

a problem in a number of breeds for many years: it was as long ago as 1965 that the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and the Kennel Club established the hip dysplasia scheme in a bid to reduce both the incidence and the severity of the condition. Since then, more than 250,000 dogs of more than 180 breeds have been scored in the UK, making it the longest running veterinary-health schemein the world.
