SA companies at odds over illicit cigarette trade

Accusations and counter-accusations have continued to fly between South African tobacco companies regarding their respective alleged involvement in the country’s, and even Africa’s, flourishing illicit cigarette trade.

There are also reports compiled by tobacco industry watchdog organisations and independent research entities that point fingers at some of these companies due to their alleged illegal activities.

Earlier this
