Canterbury’s Coosa River Throwback

Mention legendary rivers in bass fishing and a familiar set of major waterways inevitably comes up. The Tennessee, St. Lawrence and St. Johns rivers are all hallowed names in the world of bassin’, but there are a host of smaller waterways that are held with at least as much reverence. Among those is the Coosa, a 280-mile Alabama waterway that includes Lay Lake, Neely Henry Lake and Logan Martin Lake.

While 2019 Bassmaster Angler of the Year Scott Canterbury is a seasoned tournament angler on those lakes now, he grew up fishing a different Coosa River. And it’s to his childhood that we turn for this month’s pattern.
