mixing GREEN

In this final instalment of the secondary series, I will be looking at how best to mix greens. As we’ve seen in the previous articles, the twin-primary system of colour mixing uses two versions of each of the three primary colours – red, blue and yellow. The two hues in each pair are biased in colour towards one of the two adjacent secondaries. This allows for a simple and logical method of mixing a vast range of both bright and dull secondaries, both of which are needed in most paintings.
