1 Artichokes are coming into season at this time of year, and Italy plays host taking place in Ladispoli and Sezze in Lazio, and in Ramacca, Sicily, in April, as well as in Brisighella in Emilia- Romagna and Veneto’s Sant’Erasmo island in May. Celebrations include artichokebased delicacies at local restaurants, tastings and, in Ladsipoli, a competition for best artichoke sculpture!
