During the terrible bushfires of 2019/20, Morgan Leigh started sewing supplies for injured wildlife. Her work soon snowballed into global volunteer effort Rescue Craft Co.

“When the fires came through my area in Northern NSW in October and November [2019], I was just trying to figure out how I could help. I own a small ethical clothing company that I do all my own sewing for, so when I learnt that there was a huge need for soft goods for injured animals, I started making a few kangaroo pouches and koala mittens in my little workshop.
