A QUICK glance at the South African context – marked with more than 41% of women being obese – highlights that combating obesity will require more than a one-size-fits-all approach.
This was the view of the Association for Dietetics in South Africa (Adsa) in its recent campaign to mark World Obesity Day – a time to acknowledge the global increase of obesity and its long-term impacts.
The association said obesity was a health condition beyond being overweight and that research showed that restricting calories and boosting exercise only
