THIS SCRAMBLER, BY CONTRAST, EATS UP CITY RIDING, CRUISES ON THE FREEWAY COMFORTABLY AND IS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST TO RIDE ON TWISTY ROADS, SEALED OR UNSEALED
Compact, light, quick and most of all, fun. That just about sums up how I feel about the Ducati 1100 Sport Pro, at least compared to most big-bore adventure bikes.
Let’s face it — if you own a litre-plus adventure bike, you’ve got a leviathan in your garage. Designed to carry two people and luggage across continents, they are tall, heavy and cumbersome, especially at low speed or in traffi c.
This Scrambler, by contrast, eats up city riding, cruises on the freeway comfortably and is an absolute blast to ride on twisty roads, sealed or unsealed. Where many adventure bikes want to be ridden on month-long odysseys, the Scrambler is for day rides — or maybe just across town.
