Glory Days

he owner of this stunning 1966-built Cooper S, Godfrey Crawford, has an impressive history as a rally navigator in Northern Ireland, as he recalls: “My first rally was in 1969, in an 848 Mini. Over the next few years I did more rallies, all in Minis. All of these were night navigation rallies. In 1971 I did my first special stage tarmac rally, in a 998cc Mk1 Cooper. I then moved up to the semi-expert class, navigating for Roy Alcorn in a fully-prepared 1293cc Mk1 Cooper S.
