ROAD SENSE A59

The A59 begins in the centre of Liverpool and heads north to the A59/M57/M58 interchange (known as Switch Island), passing the famous Aintree racecourse.

It bypasses Ormskirk and continues north to Preston, near Rufford Old Hall (L40 1SG), a stunning Tudor property with Victorian and Edwardian gardens, which is owned by the National Trust.

After Preston, the route passes Brockholes Wetland and Woodland
