The Lucky Woodie

Luck plays a part in nearly any vehicle’s long-term survival and sometimes, luck plays a really big part and goes even further.

“I was minding my own business, working in my shop in the middle of the winter,” recalled John Milton, whose 1931 Chevrolet woodie is featured here, “when I got a phone call from a friend of mine. He said, ‘I was doing a gun deal with this guy that I know and he’s got the car that you should have.’ He started describing the car and I knew what car he was talking about, and he started talking about the guy and I knew who the guy was.”

Luckily, Milton had already purchased a car from the owner and so he went to check out the wagon.
