‘You’re not seriously suggesting we knock it down?’ Beverley said to Martin, her stomach churning at the thought. She put her mug on the coffee table and sat on the sofa beside her husband.
‘Well, according to Stuart, the feedback from the last viewing was that the chalet takes up too much space.’
‘They obviously couldn’t see its potential. You’d have thought an estate agent would point it out,’ Beverley said indignantly.
‘And they also said our kitchen needs modernising.’
‘Honestly! People would have to pay a fortune to get bespoke cabinets like ours. When I think back to all the care you took making and fitting those cupboards…’
‘I know, but oak cabinets aren’t so popular nowadays.’
