t’s now been over a year since the world began suffering through the COVID-19 pandemic, and like most professional musicians during a normal year, David Draiman should be on tour. As the lead vocalist for the heavy-metal band Disturbed, he and his bandmates originally planned to embark on a 20thanniversary tour to celebrate their debut studio album, , but it was canceled in May 2020. Now Draiman is consigned to being stuck at home (like the rest of us) under restrictions due to the virus. “I do have to say, though, that life where I’m at is not too bad now,” Draiman said during an interview via Zoom at his home in Oahu, Hawaii. “I am on the beach, everyone in my family is healthy and safe, thank God.
