THE DESIGNERS’ LITTLE BLACK BOOK
While the best designers seem to stage their interiors single-handedly, behind the scenes they often pull more than a few strings. Here, celebrated interior designers and stylists from across the country leaf through their little black books of industry experts, revealing the tradespeople, merchants, artisans and other specialists they rely on to create their inimitable interiors. “It’s all about relationships with suppliers,” says interior designer Marcus Syvertsen of South Australian-based Little Road Studio. “If you collaborate with them, they can highlight issues, give you reassurance or suggest different details that can elevate a space.”
As style secrets are divulged, we shine a light on the talented people behind some of the best rooms in the country.
