‘We’ve created a room we all want to spend time in’

HOW GEMMA DID IT

‘The family bathroom was perfectly functional, but it was basic and lacked a design perspective –). She is a meticulous planner. ‘I started with a wish list: a simple, striking, black and white scheme with a large shower enclosure, floating vanity unit and a stylish freestanding bath. The dimensions of the room meant I had to be creative with the space; the bath is at an angle to allow room for the shower enclosure.’ Labour cost around £2,000 and the job was completed within two weeks – a testament to Gemma’s organisation and planning skills. ‘I love how well all the different elements work together. Creating a bathroom space that all the family want to relax and spend time in, was at the heart of all my decisions.’
