A few months ago I visited a man who had a collection of cars he wanted to go to good homes after he’d died. One car in particular spoke to me. Among the vintage Porsches, Gullwings, Jaguars, and other exotic cars was a 1953 Talbot-Lago Type 26 GSL: Grand Sport Longue. According to historian Peter Larsen, between 19 and 21 cars were built, of which possibly 11 to 13 survive.
