MSN.com’s little mix-up shows that AI isn’t ready

As a journalist, I always find it nerve-wracking when a company switches to AI for any aspect of my work. How fortunate, then, that AI is so bad at the role that it’s laughable. I may not have job security, but fear of being replaced by machines isn’t keeping me up at night.

Recessions are a different matter. Economic downturns are bad news for online publishing, as the advertising that funds our work is often the first portal, handing the work to its own AI system.
