Mind blowing

For a comparatively niche brand, Open has been very influential in the gravel scene. Its UP bike ostensibly created the blueprint for the way modern gravel bikes look. Open’s subsequent releases have been no less important, yet they have all had an off-road focus. That has changed with the introduction of the Mind, Open’s first road bike.

According to Open’s chief designer, Gerard Vroomen, the name of the bike comes from ‘MINimal Design’,
