    9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 Balls 8ply Alpaca DK Alpaca/ NZ Merino 9, 9, 9, 9, 10, 10 buttons

    Needles

    4mm knitting needles 3.5mm knitting needles 3.5mm circular needle 60cm long

    Tension

    22 sts by 28 rows over Stocking st on 4mm needles to 10cm

    Special abbreviations

    M1L – make 1 stitch left (pick up running thread from front to back, k it through the back loop) M1R – make 1 stitch right (pick up running thread from back to front, k it through the front loop) ssk – slip, slip, knit (dec): slip 2 sts knitwise one at a time, then k them tog through the back loops ssp – slip, slip, purl (dec): slip 2 sts knitwise one at a time, transfer back to left needle in new orientation, then p them tog through the back loops;
