DODGY BEAN SEEDS

I thought you might be interested in my experience with asparagus bean seeds. In the February issue of Rob Smith wrote a great article called Offbeat Beans. I thought I would try them but was unable to find a supplier. Eventually I ordered both red and green varieties through Amazon. The seeds arrived very quickly and I was surprised that they came from China. I was even more surprised (no, horrified!) on opening the packet of red bean seeds to find it contained bean seeds with holes and many, many dead weeviltype bodies. I burnt the whole packet but wonder if this supplier is regulated and is this how pests are spread worldwide? Could you tell me if it would be safe to plant the
