No one wants to talk about winter quite yet, especially not with late summer sunshine bringing the best weather of the year to many parts of the country. But as well as managing the daily tasks, success in the garden is all about planning ahead.

Perhaps the most exciting thing about March and April is that, with the exception of those living in mountainous regions, there’s still time to start a garden from scratch.
