Age is finally catching up with former prime. After declaring several times over the past decade that he will not contest elections, the 87-year-old on February 14 said he will restrict himself to an advisory role in the Janata Dal (Secular) because of his advancing age and inability to travel extensively. His son and former CM H.D. Kumaraswamy now calls the shots and Gowda has comfortably relegated himself to the backseat.
