Data Mining: March Edition

THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC has impacted every facet of our lives, including bass fishing.

The rapid spread of the coronavirus prompted B.A.S.S. to reschedule the Elite Series tour soon after the early March 2020 Bassmaster Classic, forcing pro anglers to either shelter at home with their families or limit their fishing expeditions to editorial schedule as well, forcing cancellations of “’Day on the Lake” outings that had been scheduled with Elite pros months earlier. Therefore, you won’t find a standard “Day on the Lake” feature in either this issue or our April issue. But, because we know you rely on DOTL for insights into the lures, presentations and thought processes Elite pros use to locate and catch bass on lakes they’ve never fished before, we’ve put together a treasure trove of pertinent factoids from past March and April DOTL articles in dating all the way back to 1998! We guarantee that the following compilation of over two decades’ worth of pro angler savvy gleaned from March DOTL outings will give you ample ammunition for conquering early spring bass on your home waters. Watch for April DOTL facts and stats in next month’s issue.
