The gently zigzagging lines in Fran Morgan’s bright blanket are a mesmerising addition to any bed or sofa

Blanket measures approx 175x175cm (69x69in)

NOTES

Pattern is worked in a Bargello construction of ‘stepped’ rows. Each step is made up of 3, 4, 6 or 8 trebles and all steps are established in the first row. The first row begins stepping up to an apex, then stepping down to the same level as the beginning step; this is repeated twice more across each row. You will need to ‘level’ out the top and bottom edge at the end to form straight edges.

There is a Stitch Diagram on page 95, which you will need to refer to when making the Blanket. The foundation ch is shown in red, Row 1 in blue, and Row 2 in black. You will then repeat Row 2 as directed in pattern. All ch3 count as a treble throughout pattern and all skipped ch-s from the foundation row also count as a treble.
