MY MOTIVATION IS AS HIGH AS EVER
There are perhaps more radiant smiles and gregarious laughs in golf, but Paul Casey’s might be the most infectious. And for good reason. Seasons change, and while he may have waited until the winter of his career to discover the good life bestowed upon him by his play on the course, there is no doubt the Englishman would have waited too long if not for his personal choices off it.
At 43, there is more behind than in front for Casey. But he is enjoying the ride anyway, be it on a yearly cycling trip to the Dolomites (pre Covid-19 pandemic, anyway) that serves as both outlet and training, or in his pursuit of that still elusive first career Major Championship. Even the closest of calls last year brings more joy than regret, and why not.
