THE civil rights organisation AfriForum believes the government’s lack of transparency on its plans and strategy on the implementation of vaccines is suspect, especially because it failed to respond to questions on why private health institutions were excluded from the procurement and distribution programme.
Health Minister Dr Zweli Mkhize has said that the government will receive the first batch of about a million vaccines from India this week and that plans for a massive vaccination were in progress.
AfriForum has filed a court application, which will be heard on March 2 against Mkhize
