Should you delete WhatsApp?

MORE than two billion people worldwide rely on WhatsApp to keep them connected with friends, family and business colleagues.

The dominance of WhatsApp appeared unshakeable until last month when it informed its users that there would be an update of its terms and conditions.

Normally, most users are undaunted by tech companies sharing revised terms but rumours began to spread that WhatsApp would be sharing personal data with its parent company, Facebook. This resulted in fury from its normally loyal user base and threats to move to alternate messaging platforms such as Signal and Telegram.
