Having watched her husband fall ill with Covid-19, the Duchess of Cambridge knows only too well how much our nation relies on its dedicated NHS staff.
Throughout the pandemic, she and the Duke have been at the forefront of royal efforts to support our front-line heroes.
From the start of the lockdown almost a year ago Kate, whose grandmother and great-grandmother were both volunteer nurses, has thrown herself into her role – even involving her children Prince George, seven, Princess Charlotte, five, and two-year-old Prince Louis as the Cambridges became some of our healthcare workers’ biggest champions.
