The catwalks of Africa

THE V&A Museum has revealed plans to stage a major exhibition on African fashions, in June 2022, and is appealing to members of the public who might have items of interest that they’re willing to lend, as well as personal testimonies (to submit an idea, email africafashion@vam.ac.uk).

The list includes rare and early designs by Shade Thomas-Fahm, Chris Seydou, Kofi Ansah and Alphadi, as well as , , and commemorative cloths from the 20th-century liberation and independence years,, published between 1950 and 1970.
