After year out, RTC gearing up for the return of ‘Great Britain’

IT’S BACK! After missing out on 2020 owing to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Railway Touring Company’s ‘Great Britain’ multi-day steam railtour returns for its 14th incarnation this April.

The ‘Great Britain XIV’ (GBXIV) kicks off, coronavirus permitting, on April 16 as ‘A1’ No. 60163 Tornado heads the first leg of a high-speed dash Down the East Coast Main Line from King’s Cross and Edinburgh.
