To win a Grand Slam is special enough but to win it on St Patrick’s Day against England at Twickenham while playing with flair and power is quite another. It was 17 March 2018 and three first-half tries put Joe Schmidt’s team into an unassailable lead.
The middle one, an epic strike move involving Tadhg Furlong, Bundee Aki and finished off by CJ Stander, was one of the great Ireland scores. A glorious rout.
