BEST DSLRS UNDER £1500
While mirrorless cameras might be stealing all the attention at the moment, you shouldn’t overlook a DSLR. There are still some fantastic DSLRs out there, and this is certainly true when it comes to high-end enthusiast models that cost under £1,500 (or $1,500).
Why swim against the tide and invest in a DSLR if everyone seems to be using mirrorless? Well despite the advancement of mirrorless cameras, there are still a number of reasons why you could upgrade to a DSLR. The first one is if you’ve already bought into a DSLR system – maybe you’ve got an entry-level model from Canon or Nikon, have outgrown the features and are looking to take the next step creatively. If you’ve invested in extra lenses and accessories, then it makes sense to upgrade to a more advanced model further up the range, rather than having to sell everything and start from scratch. Just be mindful that if you opt for one of the full-frame models tested here, some lenses might not be compatible if you’ve bought APS-C specific glass for your first DSLR.
Speaking of lenses, while most manufacturers offer a decent range of mirrorless lenses for their respective systems, you still can’t beat the breadth and depth of lenses available for Canon or Nikon DSLRs.
