HONDA CB900F 1979-83 Restoration & Buying Guide

Lee Chambers and Garth Brookes started this restoration only a few months before the big lockdown, and were lucky to get it completed half way through April, just as the UK was hitting the worst cases of Coronavirus. They worked quickly and efficiently, but were lucky to get it completed. In the end, Garth was only short of a couple of brackets for the indicators, but I believe he will have to wait till the breakers reopen to do the final touches.

I started by sitting at my computer and doing the essential research for the Honda CB900F, so later I will be able to give you a genuine detailed rider’s report from back in 1981. However, one has to be cautious –indeed very cautious – because the internet can be, and is, a two edged sword. It’s great for obtaining speedy information, but is that information correct? The Bible proverb holds true – we have to be able to sort the chaff from the wheat, to distinguish truth from make believe, fact from fiction.
