Winwoods Shoot SHROPSHIRE

Winwoods Shoot lies a few miles west of the market town of Bewdley and covers 1,500 acres of pretty, well-contoured arable and wooded land that offers fine partridge and pheasant shooting. It is one of five shoots managed by Oliver Davies, who I joined along with a mostly German team on a blustery day in January last year. The Guns return each year for two or three back-to-back days – that tells you a great deal about their views on the shoot, especially given the distance they have to travel. This visit was to be part of shoot captain Conrad Schumacher’s birthday celebrations with close family and friends.

Conrad will be well known to any of you that follow dressage.
