AKE White is confident the Bulls can handle anything the Lions will throw at them, but I’m not so sure. The Bulls scrum came under enormous pressure from the Lions previously, Tiaan Swanepoel has a massive goal-kicking boot, and Wandisile Simelane can create magic at will. But White’s confidence stems from his team’s win record, and their hunger to win the Currie Cup for the first time since 2009. They also have some heavy-hitters such as Trevor Nyakane, Duane Vermeulen, Morné Steyn and Stedman Gans who can put the Lions under pressure.
