Wheels. Very subjective round objects. They are essential items, obviously, but choose the right ones and they can make the look of your car. Alloy wheels really need looking after, especially during winter months. Dirty or scuffed, untidy wheels can ruin the hard work you’ve put into polishing your car.

The way we look after our cars has changed greatly in recent years. The days of smearing an aggressive, foul-smelling polish onto your car’s body with an old pair of Y-fronts that sets like concrete have mostly gone. Likewise, grit-laden sponges with Fairy Liquid in a bucket are pretty-much no more.

These days we have elixirs and concoctions that smell like bubblegum or the contents of a Lush soap shop most of which will shine and protect your car in a simple wipe-on; wipe-off manner.

Likewise, wheel cleaners have moved on. Products that smelt like acid, that stripped your hands of essential oils (often leaving skin with what felt like a mild burn!), and on occasions removed the lacquer from your wheels, have all but been eradicated.

Thankfully, the worst of the horrid chemicals have been taken out and other considerations
