Schlüter Profi Trac 8000TVL: The one that never was

It’s 1980 — only two years ago Schlüter introduced the Profi Trac 5000TVL, at the time the most powerful tractor on sale in Europe. The mightily impressive powerhouse was developed for the huge state-owned farm estate of Yugoslavia, but head of state, Josip Broz Tito, wanted something even bigger!

The Bavarian tractor manufacturer went back to the drawing board and came up with the Profi Trac 8000 — 12 cylinders, 800hp
